I reviewed this on my youtube channel but i don’t want people on amazon giving it a bad rep. I did enjoy this a lot. Its written by the same writer as iron man Extremis. which is a great book. So he has a great voice for the character. He is the kind of writer who is best with character. So the story suffered. It was wrapped up to quickly and had the same twist as extremis. Which is why this has to be longer. He is a great writer but like James Robinson he takes time to truly become good. So i dislike the story. BUT. i love the characters. the dialog is amazing. there’s a great line where tony says “I refuse to fear a man whose name sounds like a Norwegian term for an act of love involving motor oil” and another where he says that he’s down to his last 100000000 and his friend happy hogen says he had to sell his grandmother’s golden tooth to pay the bills and then tony just says its tough all around. So overall it isnt the best story but its just so much fun and the dialog is BRILLIANT. so i say buy it. Its a good addition to the ultimate library and you will just have so much fun reading it.
Have to say the fan in me enjoyed this short story, but the comic book fan in me was terribly disappointed. The story for the most part was rather lack luster and kind of silly the plot doesn’t really make much sense. This seems like one of those stories that is written lazily with whacky plot twists to try and spark some amazement. All in all I did like the story but I would not recommend this book to anyone except a avid fan of Ultimate Iron Man which if you are reading this review or on this page you probably are. In the end its up to you those are just my thoughts.
